fOR sCHOOLS AND TEACHERS
We have programs for all grade levels — and teachers, too.
Engage your students in the world of opera through field trips, activities, and performance opportunities. LA Opera Connects programs integrate language arts, social studies, and/or STEAM, providing students with a well-rounded arts experience. Teachers can develop their lesson plans through our workshop series Opera for Educators; explore our learning resources to enrich your curriculum.
Students in grades 7-12 develop their performance skills and work closely with LA Opera professionals to create an operatic experience all their own. Accompanied by materials designed to further their learning, students are sure to grow in both academic and creative skillsets.
Experience opera with your elementary, high school or college level students in the historic and beautiful Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. From 50-minute introductory performances just for kids to full productions on the main stage of our theater, there is something for students of every age and every interest.
We have experts in music, history, languages and—of course—opera, ready to work with you to integrate opera into your classrooms. Discuss the latest in arts scholarship with experts in the field at Opera for Educators, or check out our shareable lesson plans.
