(Los Angeles) January 22, 2025 — LA Opera is offering Angelenos who have been affected by this year's wildfires complimentary tickets to the company's February 1 concert featuring Broadway star Kelli O'Hara. The offer is extended to residents in zip codes directly impacted by the fires, as well as to first responders and the extraordinary support teams dedicated to the recovery of Los Angeles County.
"Our hearts are filled with concern for those whose lives were upended by the wildfires that have devastated our community," said Christopher Koelsch, the company's president and CEO. "We believe that music is the greatest healing force in the universe, capable of bringing us together for solace, peace, reflection, empathy and inspiration during the most difficult of times. In that spirit, we are offering free tickets and complimentary parking to our February 1 concert starring Kelli O'Hara, as a heartfelt expression of love to the many Angelenos who have lost their homes or livelihoods or were forced to evacuate. With deepest gratitude and profound respect, we also welcome the heroic first responders who have been battling the fires so bravely and those who are playing an essential part in our community's recovery by providing support to those who have been impacted."
