Hispanos por LA Opera (HLAO), en colaboración con LA Opera Connects, presenta: Una conversación con César Oliva, distinguido director, estudioso y catedrático de teatro en la Universidad de Murcia, España, también ganador del Premio Lorca de la ciudad andaluza de Granada.
Con relación a la ópera Ainadamar, sobre la amistad de García Lorca y su actriz preferida Margarita Xirgu, César Oliva comentará sobre la importancia del teatro de Lorca y su colaboración con Xirgu, en un ambiente sociopolítico tumultuoso que resultará en el asesinato del poeta-dramaturgo.

Hispanics for LA Opera (HLAO), in collaboration with LA Opera Connects, presents: A conversation with César Oliva, distinguished director, scholar and professor of theater at the University of Murcia, Spain, and winner of the Lorca Award of the Andalusian city of Granada.
The conversation will focus on the opera Ainadamar and the friendship between García Lorca and his favorite actress Margarita Xirgu. César Oliva will comment on the importance of Lorca's theater and his collaboration with Xirgu, in a tumultuous socio-political environment that resulted in the poet-playwright's assassination.
