Craig Vaughan is a strategic leader with 25 years of innovation and transaction experience at the intersection of corporate strategy, finance, media and technology. He is a founding partner of media and investment companies, and an advisor to CEOs and private equity investors in executing M&A transactions. Craig has closed over $20B in transaction volume using his exceptional skill in creating alignment between stakeholders by focusing all parties on a shared vision of the future.

Craig is the managing partner of Vaughan Capital Advisors (“VCA”), an M&A advisory firm specializing in media and technology transactions. VCA has advised private equity investors, global corporations, and growth-stage companies by structuring M&A transactions that position VCA’s clients to create long-term value in the rapidly evolving media and technology sectors.

Craig’s early career at Goldman Sachs informed his ability to structure, finance and launch media businesses with iconic brands. His projects have included launching NBAtv, Sony Connect, Fox Mobile TV and advising on the acquisition of the San Diego Padres. VCA advised Time Inc. on its sale of Essence Communications, TestFlight on its sale to Apple, Double Encore on its sale to WPP, Fvlcrum Funds on its acquisition of Burrell Communications and Ariel Alternatives on its acquisition of My Code. Craig was a general partner of the QueensBridge Fund where he committed the fund’s capital to category-defining companies such as Lyft, Dropbox, Ring and Casper.

Craig is the treasurer of the board of trustees for the John Thomas Dye School (“JTD”) where he sets the investment policy and financial objectives of the school. At JTD, he served on the committee that successfully hired the new head of admissions and sits on the compensation committee.

Craig is the co-chair of the development committee for the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools Foundation board of trustees. He also served as the secretary of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy New Market Tax Credit Board. Craig wants to use his board and professional experience to help for-profit boards shape the future of companies in the CPG, technology, media, fashion and travel sectors.

Craig graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in finance and earned an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He has held Series 7, 79, 62 and 63 licenses with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He is an avid golfer and a member of the Sigma Pi Phi business  fraternity. Craig lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter.
